Hi, I'm Axel

Full stack web developer and Systems Engineering student from Mendoza, Argentina 🇦🇷.

I've been building web projects for over 2 years. I'm passionate about creating from scratch and seeing an idea transform into a functional application. I specialize in React, Next.js, Node.js, and the JavaScript ecosystem.

About me

I'm Axel, a full stack web developer from Mendoza, Argentina. I've spent the last 2+ years building web projects and studying Systems Engineering at UTN. What drives me most is the ability to create something from scratch — turning an idea into a working application is what got me into development and keeps me going every day.

I'm comfortable on both sides of the stack: React, Next.js, and TypeScript on the front-end, and Node.js, Express, and databases like PostgreSQL and MongoDB on the back-end. I'm always learning something new and documenting the journey.

I'm currently looking for my first opportunity in tech, where I can contribute energy, commitment, and a genuine desire to grow as part of a team.

Projects

Blog Platform

  • Nextjs
  • Tailwind
  • Node.js
  • Express
  • Turborepo
This was my most ambitious project so far. I wanted to build something real end-to-end: full JWT authentication, a rich text editor, image management with Cloudinary, and a category system. I used Turborepo to organize the codebase as a monorepo, separating the Next.js frontend from the Node.js/Express backend. It taught me a lot about how to scale an application and keep code organized as it grows.

USD Purchase Tracker

  • NextJS
  • Tailwind
  • TypeScript
  • Zustand
This project came from a real problem in Argentina: keeping track of how many dollars you've bought and at what price. I built it with Next.js and TypeScript, using Zustand for global state management. I especially enjoyed the challenge of identifying a locally relevant problem and turning it into a working application.

Movie App

  • ReactJS
  • Tailwind
  • React Router
  • Typescript
I wanted to practice consuming external APIs and handling routing in React. I connected the TMDb API to fetch real-time data, implemented React Router for navigation, and added dark/light mode support. It was a great project for solidifying my React and TypeScript fundamentals.

Personal Blog

  • Astro
  • Tailwind
  • Typescript
I built this blog as a space to document what I'm learning along the way. I chose Astro because it's ideal for content-heavy static sites and I wanted to experiment outside the React ecosystem. Here I publish technical articles, reflections, and things I find useful on my path as a developer.
